About the Role
Design and deliver instructional lessons aligned with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) HVAC curriculum, covering topics such as heating systems, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
Utilize a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory exercises, and practical demonstrations to teach students essential HVAC skills and concepts.
Demonstrate proper safety procedures and industry best practices for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.
Assess student learning outcomes through quizzes, exams, hands-on projects, and performance evaluations, providing timely feedback to support student success.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise curriculum materials, lesson plans, and instructional resources.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in HVAC codes and regulations.
Requirements
Extensive experience working as an HVAC technician or contractor, with in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with the NCCER HVAC curriculum and other relevant instructional materials preferred, but not required.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to students.
Previous teaching or training experience in the HVAC field preferred.
HVAC certification or licensure required.
